Story:

SAN FRANCISCO — Giants legends Mike Krukow and Duane Kuiper, affectionately known as Kruk and Kuip, are taking their iconic chemistry on the road this summer — but not in the broadcast booth.

In a move no one saw coming, the beloved broadcasters announced Friday that they’ll be headlining a five-city live storytelling tour across California, titled “Extra Innings: Stories from the Booth.” The duo plans to share never-before-heard anecdotes from decades in the game, answer fan questions, and even roast each other — something fans know they do best.

“I’m just hoping Kruk doesn’t bring his guitar,” Kuiper quipped during the press conference at Oracle Park.

“I will if you bring your harmonica,” Krukow shot back, prompting laughter from the crowd.

The idea for the tour reportedly started as a joke during a rain delay last season, but quickly picked up steam after a clip of their back-and-forth on air went viral on social media. Within days, offers from theaters rolled in.

The tour kicks off in San Francisco on July 15 and wraps up in San Diego in early August. Proceeds will benefit local youth baseball programs and ALS research — a cause close to Krukow, who has been public about his ongoing battle with the disease.

“We’ve always said the fans are the best part of the job,” Kuiper said. “So we figured, why not bring the booth to them?”

Tickets go on sale June 12, and early demand is reportedly “through the roof.”

One thing’s for sure: with Kruk and Kuip behind the mic — or on stage — it’s bound t

o be a grand slam.
