Story:

CONCORD, N.C. — Under the bright lights and roaring engines of the NASCAR Cup Series, Josh Berry is making waves—not just for his grit behind the wheel, but for the grounded, heartwarming way he keeps family at the center of his fast-paced life.

This past weekend, Berry earned a career-best third-place finish at World Wide Technology Raceway, but it wasn’t just the checkered flag on his mind—it was the smiling faces of his wife and two young daughters waiting at pit road.

“They’re my why,” Berry said, holding his youngest, just 18 months old, after the race. “Every lap I take, I think of them. Racing is in my blood, but they’re in my heart.”

A former late-model racer turned Cup Series regular, Berry’s rise has been the kind of story NASCAR fans love—hard work, humility, and perseverance. But it’s his family-first approach that’s winning even more hearts in the garage area.

His wife, Erin, often travels with him, managing bedtime stories and pit strategy in the same breath. “Josh can go from full-throttle to full-on dad in seconds,” she laughs. “One moment he’s racing at 180 mph, and the next he’s changing a diaper in the hauler.”

Now driving the No. 4 car for Stewart-Haas Racing, Berry says he’s not just racing for trophies—he’s racing to build a legacy. “Someday, I want my girls to look back and say, ‘Dad chased his dreams, but he never stopped showing up for us.’”

With talent on the track and love in the stands, Josh Berry is proving that in the world of NASCAR, the strongest engines are the ones fu

eled by family.
