NASCAR WITH HEART: Ryan Blaney Wins at Nashville, Donates Prize to Charity as Denny Hamlin Welcomes Newborn Baby 👶❤️
NASHVILLE, TN — In one of the most emotional NASCAR weekends of the season, Ryan Blaney turned a big win into something even bigger: a moment of giving and gratitude.
After a thrilling victory at Nashville Superspeedway, Blaney didn’t just celebrate with burnouts and champagne — he announced he’s donating a portion of his race winnings to two meaningful causes:
The Ryan Blaney Family Foundation, which supports Alzheimer’s research and awareness, and
The Victory Junction Gang Camp, a charity founded by the Petty family to enrich the lives of children with chronic illnesses.
> “Winning on the track means a lot,” Blaney said in Victory Lane. “But helping others off the track means even more. This one’s for the kids, and for the families still fighting.”
Blaney is estimated to have earned over $400,000 from his Nashville win. Sources close to Team Penske confirmed that $100,000 will be split between the two foundations in the form of direct donation cheques.
But the good vibes didn’t stop there.
Just hours before the green flag dropped, Denny Hamlin was a late scratch from the race — and for good reason. The Joe Gibbs Racing driver welcomed a healthy newborn child with his wife earlier that morning. The joyful news made its way through the garage quickly, and Blaney gave a shout-out to Hamlin’s growing family in his post-race interview.
> “I hated Denny had to miss the race, but what a reason — bringing new life into the world. Congrats to him and his family. That’s the real win today.”
Hamlin later posted on social media:
> “We are beyond blessed. Mom and baby are doing great. I’ll catch y’all next week — right now, I’m on diaper duty.” 👶🍼
Between the checkered flags, charity, and new beginnings, Sunday’s race in Nashville will be remembered not just for who crossed the line first — but for the kindness, joy, and humanity that followed.
