Two Clemson legendsโDeshaun Watson and C.J. Spillerโhave teamed up once again, but this time, the touchdown comes in the form of a powerful gift: a $20 million endowment dedicated to youth football development across the Southeast.
The initiative, titled the “Legacy in Motion Youth Fund,” will provide state-of-the-art equipment, coaching education, and scholarship opportunities for underserved communitiesโstarting in South Carolina, Georgia, and Texas.
> โFootball changed our lives,โ Watson said at the announcement ceremony in Clemsonโs Reeves Football Complex. โNow itโs our turn to make sure it keeps changing lives for generations to come.โ
Spiller, now Clemsonโs running backs coach, added,
> โWeโre planting seedsโseeds of character, education, and opportunity. This is bigger than football.โ
The fund will partner with local school districts, youth leagues, and mental wellness programs to ensure holistic development for aspiring young athletes. Watson and Spiller also committed to hosting annual youth camps and leadership summits as part of the project.
