SWEET UPDATE: Tony Stewart to Turn $15.8 Million Indiana Estate into Shelter for Homeless Youth
July 20, 2025 – Columbus, Indiana — NASCAR Hall of Famer and Eldora Speedway owner Tony Stewart has announced a bold and compassionate new project: converting his private Indiana estate, valued at $15.8 million, into a shelter for homeless and at-risk youth.
The property, known as Hidden Hollow Ranch, spans over 400 acres in Columbus, Indiana. It includes a massive 19,000+ square-foot log cabin-style lodge, complete with a bowling alley, aquarium, and outdoor sports facilities. Now, instead of serving as a private residence, the estate will be transformed into a state-of-the-art youth support center named “Hidden Hollow Haven.”
“I’ve been blessed with a successful career and life,” Stewart said in a statement. “But there are kids out there with no place to call home. If I can use what I’ve built to give them safety, structure, and opportunity, then it’s not even a question—it’s a responsibility.”
The facility will house up to 60 youth at a time and offer services including education support, career counseling, trauma care, and long-term housing transition programs. Stewart has partnered with local nonprofits and national advocacy groups to ensure the shelter is both functional and sustainable.
Local leaders praised the initiative, calling it a “life-changing gift” for the community. “Tony Stewart is proving once again that his legacy goes far beyond the racetrack,” said a representative from the Indiana Department of Child Services.
Construction on the shelter renovations will begin later this year, with a grand opening expected in late 2026.
Stewart’s gesture reflects a growing movement of athletes and celebrities using their platforms for social impact—this time, from one of motorsport’s most enduring figures.
