Yankee Stadium Named Best Baseball Stadium of the Year for 2025

Bronx, NY – April 16, 2025 — In a crowning moment for one of baseball’s most iconic venues, Yankee Stadium has officially been named the Best Baseball Stadium of the Year by the National Sports Venue Association (NSVA). The award, announced earlier this morning, recognizes excellence in fan experience, innovation, sustainability, and historical significance.

This marks the first time the Bronx-based ballpark has received the top honor since its reopening in 2009. The NSVA praised the stadium’s seamless blend of tradition and modernity, pointing to upgrades like the state-of-the-art LED lighting system, the expanded Monument Park, and new fan-friendly dining options that highlight local New York flavors.

“We’re thrilled to honor Yankee Stadium as the best of the best in 2025,” said NSVA President Lisa Thompson. “No other stadium delivers the same level of history, atmosphere, and commitment to the future of the game.”

Yankees team president Randy Levine credited the entire organization and fanbase: “This recognition is a reflection of everything the Yankees stand for — excellence, community, and a passion for baseball that spans generations. Our fans deserve the very best, and we’re proud to deliver that every game.”

The stadium also received high marks for sustainability, including its green roofing project and on-site vertical garden, which supplies produce for stadium concessions. The Yankees’ partnership with the UN Sports for Climate Action initiative was also cited as a standout achievement.

With this accolade, Yankee Stadium cements its place not only in baseball lore but as a model for what a modern ballpark should be — a temple of tradition, innovation, and unmatched energy.
