Charlotte, NC – June 9, 2025 — The NASCAR community is reeling today following the tragic and unexpected death of Richard “Rick” Halstead, a revered member of NASCAR’s Board of Directors, who passed away Monday evening in a car accident near his home in Davidson County, North Carolina. He was 62.
