Tragedy in Sea Mills: Three Young Siblings Found Dead in Bristol Home
BRISTOL, UK — A quiet neighborhood in Sea Mills was shaken to its core in February 2024 when three young siblings were found dead in their family home in one of the most heartbreaking incidents in recent memory.
On the morning of February 18, police responded to a welfare call at a residence on Blaise Walk. Upon arrival, officers discovered the lifeless bodies of Fares Bash, 7, Joury Bash, 3, and nine-month-old Mohammed Bash. Post-mortem examinations confirmed the children died from stab wounds to the chest and neck.
The children’s mother, a 42-year-old woman, was arrested on suspicion of murder. She sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was detained under the Mental Health Act. Authorities later confirmed she remained in secure medical custody. Police noted they had had prior contact with the family earlier that month, prompting a referral to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC). After a preliminary review, the IOPC determined that no further investigation was required.
The tragic news sent shockwaves through the local community. Hundreds of residents gathered for a candlelight vigil to mourn the loss and support the grieving family. The children’s father, Alfil Bash, spoke publicly, describing his children as “beautiful, joyful, and full of life.”
“This is a nightmare no parent should ever live through,” he said in an emotional tribute.
Avon and Somerset Police said they are continuing to support the family during the ongoing investigation, and additional mental health resources have been made available to the community.
