🎙️ “Kruk and Kuip” Aren’t Going Anywhere: Giants Extend Beloved Broadcast Duo Through 2026
San Francisco Giants fans have reason to celebrate—broadcast legends Mike Krukow and Duane Kuiper, affectionately known as “Kruk and Kuip,” will be calling games together through at least the 2026 MLB season.
Mike Krukow recently signed a two-year extension, ensuring his continued role as color commentator despite his ongoing battle with a rare muscle condition, inclusion-body myositis. To adapt, Krukow will call road games remotely from NBC Sports Bay Area’s studio in San Francisco, a setup nicknamed the “SplitKast.” The new format will debut when the Giants face the Dodgers on Opening Day, March 26, 2025.
Duane Kuiper has also reaffirmed his commitment to the booth, pledging to stay alongside Krukow as long as possible. The duo emphasized in a recent press appearance that they’re not stepping away any time soon, much to the delight of generations of fans.
Together since 1994, Kruk and Kuip have become synonymous with Giants baseball, blending sharp analysis, deep baseball knowledge, and warm humor. They were recently finalists for the prestigious 2024 Ford C. Frick Award, which honors excellence in baseball broadcasting.
Giants fans can rest easy—baseball’s most beloved booth duo isn’t done making memories.
