Livvy Dunne Calls Out Aggressive Autograph Seekers After Airport Harassment Incident

LSU gymnastics star and social media sensation Olivia “Livvy” Dunne is speaking out after a troubling encounter with aggressive autograph seekers at an airport, shedding light on a growing issue faced by public figures in the age of instant fame and viral celebrity.

Dunne, 22, took to social media on Thursday to share her frustration after being harassed by a group of men demanding autographs upon her arrival at an undisclosed airport. The incident, which reportedly left her feeling unsafe and overwhelmed, is the latest example of what many athletes and entertainers say is increasingly invasive behavior from so-called “graphers”—individuals who seek autographs to resell for profit.

“This needs to stop,” Dunne wrote in an Instagram Story. “I’m happy to meet fans, but grown men pushing and shoving to get me to sign 10 of the same item is not okay. Especially not at an airport when I’m just trying to get to where I’m going.”

Dunne’s comments quickly sparked widespread support across social media, with fans, fellow athletes, and commentators condemning the harassment and calling for greater respect for personal boundaries.

The gymnast, who boasts over 13 million followers across TikTok and Instagram, has become one of the most marketable college athletes in the nation, with multiple name, image, and likeness (NIL) endorsement deals. Her popularity has drawn large crowds at meets and public appearances—but also increased scrutiny and unwanted attention.

This isn’t the first time Dunne has spoken up about uncomfortable fan interactions. In 2023, LSU implemented new security protocols after a large group of male fans disrupted one of the team’s away meets, prompting Dunne to advocate for athlete safety and respect.

“Just because someone is in the public eye doesn’t mean they should have to endure harassment,” Dunne said in a follow-up post. “I love my fans—but there’s a line, and that line was crossed.”

As the conversation around personal privacy and safety for high-profile athletes continues to evolve, Dunne’s remarks have reignited calls for airports, event venues, and organizations to do more to protect athletes from exploitative behavior disguised as fandom.
