BOBBY PIERCE DONATES $75,000 SHOW-ME 100 WINNINGS TO AMERICAN KIDNEY FUND IN HONOR OF LATE BROTHER

Wheatland, MO — May 24, 2025

In an emotional and inspiring gesture, dirt late model racing star Bobby Pierce announced that he will donate his entire $75,000 prize from the 33rd Annual Show-Me 100 to the American Kidney Fund, honoring the memory of his late brother, Jake Pierce, who tragically passed away due to complications from kidney stones.

Pierce claimed victory Saturday night at Lucas Oil Speedway in front of thousands of roaring fans during the prestigious Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series event, presented by FloRacing and the Missouri Division of Tourism. But it was his post-race comments that captured the hearts of many beyond the racing community.

“This one wasn’t just for me—it was for Jake,” Pierce said in victory lane, visibly emotional. “He fought through so much pain, and kidney health is something so many people overlook. I knew if I won this race, I’d turn it into something that could help others avoid what our family went through.”

Jake Pierce, a passionate supporter of his younger brother’s racing career, passed away in 2023 at just 27 years old after a sudden kidney stone complication. Bobby said the donation aims to raise awareness of kidney disease and ensure others have access to early detection and proper care.

The American Kidney Fund released a statement thanking Pierce for his contribution:

> “Bobby’s gift is not only incredibly generous but deeply meaningful. His courage to share his family’s story will inspire others and directly impact patients battling kidney disease.”

Fans, fellow racers, and national media outlets have applauded Pierce for his compassion and leadership, reminding everyone that the power of sport extends far beyond the track.

Pierce’s next race is scheduled for next weekend, but he says this win—and what followed—will be one he remembers forever
