PITTSBURGH, PA — Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin is facing growing scrutiny as the team’s playoff struggles continue into 2025. Despite 18 straight non-losing seasons, the Steelers haven’t won a postseason game since 2016 — their longest such drought in over 50 years.

The latest blow came with a 28-14 loss to the Baltimore Ravens in the Wild Card round. Former Steelers safety Ryan Clark, who once played for Tomlin, publicly stated that “his voice has run stale,” sparking debates over whether a leadership change is needed.

However, Steelers ownership remains committed to Tomlin. Team president Art Rooney II confirmed that there are no plans to part ways with the coach, who signed a three-year contract extension through the 2027 season.

Tomlin, addressing reporters, admitted the team must improve but rejected the notion that the franchise is “stuck.”

> “Stuck is kind of a helpless feeling. And I don’t know that I feel helpless,” he said.

The offseason could prove pivotal, especially with rumors swirling around potential roster moves — including interest in veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

As the 2025 season approaches, all eyes will be on Tomlin to see if he can silence the doubters and return the Steelers to postseason relevance
