University of Louisville men’s basketball head coach Pat Kelsey took a pause from the hardwood this weekend to celebrate someone he calls “the true MVP of our family”—his wife, Lisa Kelsey.
In a heartfelt Mother’s Day tribute posted to social media, Kelsey shared a photo of Lisa with their three children—Ruthie, Caroline, and Johnny—smiling on their back porch in Louisville.
> “Every play I’ve drawn, every game I’ve coached, and every step I’ve taken has been made easier because of this incredible woman,” Kelsey wrote. “Lisa, you are the rock of our family and the heartbeat of our home. Happy Mother’s Day to the best mom and wife we could ever ask for.”
