Devin Booker Inks Contract Extension with Phoenix Suns Through 2030, Solidifying Long-Term Future

Phoenix, AZ — July 20, 2025

In a major move signaling their commitment to championship contention, the Phoenix Suns have announced that All-Star guard Devin Booker has signed a four-year contract extension that will keep him in the Valley through the 2029–30 NBA season.

The extension is worth an estimated $248 million, with an average annual salary of $62 million starting in the 2026–27 season. The new deal will begin after his current contract expires in 2026 and includes a player option for the 2029–30 season.

Booker, 28, has been the face of the franchise since being drafted in 2015. He is coming off another stellar season, averaging 27.4 points, 6.2 assists, and 4.9 rebounds per game, while leading the Suns to the Western Conference Finals.

“I’m grateful to this organization and the city of Phoenix,” Booker said in a statement. “This is home. I’m proud of what we’ve built, and I’m committed to finishing what we started.”

Team owner Mat Ishbia praised Booker’s leadership and loyalty: “Devin is not just an elite talent—he’s the heart of this team. We’re thrilled to secure his future with the Suns as we chase a title together.”

The deal includes annual incentives tied to playoff performance and All-NBA honors. Booker will also see a rise in endorsement earnings, with new partnerships expected to launch following the extension announcement.

With Booker locked in, Phoenix now shifts its focus to building a deeper roster around him and fellow star Kevin Durant, aiming to bring the franchise its first NBA championship.

Booker’s commitment sends a strong message: the Suns are all-in, and their star guard is here to stay.
