Dale Earnhardt Jr. Named Among Top Picks for New NASCAR Broadcast Team
July 20, 2025 — Charlotte, NC — NASCAR Hall of Famer Dale Earnhardt Jr. is officially returning to the broadcast booth, as he’s been named one of the top picks to headline NASCAR’s new television broadcast teams for the 2025 season. With NASCAR’s media rights expanding across Amazon Prime Video and TNT Sports, Earnhardt Jr. will play a major role in bringing live race coverage to fans on both platforms.
The two-time Daytona 500 champion will join Amazon Prime Video alongside veteran race caller Adam Alexander and fellow former crew chief Steve Letarte. Their first race will be the prestigious Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway, marking Amazon’s debut as a NASCAR broadcaster.
At the same time, TNT Sports announced that Earnhardt Jr. will also contribute to their coverage when NASCAR returns to the network next year. In addition to his race day commentary, he’ll be part of a new Bleacher Report content series during TNT’s portion of the Cup Series schedule.
“I’m thrilled to be part of this new chapter in NASCAR broadcasting,” Earnhardt Jr. said. “It’s an exciting time for the sport, and I look forward to connecting with fans in a whole new way.”
This announcement follows Earnhardt Jr.’s decision to leave NBC Sports earlier this year. His return to commentary, especially across two new platforms, is seen as a strategic move to boost fan engagement as NASCAR enters a new era of media coverage.
With a deep racing legacy, sharp insights, and a massive fan base, Earnhardt Jr.’s presence is expected to elevate the viewing experience and attract both longtime and new NASCAR fans.
His dual-role debut will begin with the 2025 season opener and continues through both Amazon and TNT’s scheduled races.
