Memphis Legends Mike Conley and Zach Randolph Donates $2 Million Dollars Each To Team, Gives Back To Community That Gave Them Everything

Grizzlies Legends Mike Conley and Zach Randolph Make Major Donations to Support Memphis Community

Memphis Grizzlies legends Mike Conley and Zach Randolph have once again proven their devotion to the city that embraced them, with impactful donations aimed at uplifting Memphis communities in need.

Mike Conley, known for his leadership on and off the court, donated $200,000 to six organizations across five cities, with a portion specifically allocated to Memphis-based nonprofit CodeCrew. The group focuses on computer science education for underrepresented youth, and Conley’s contribution helped provide internet access and laptops to students during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. His goal was clear: to close the digital divide and ensure that every child in Memphis could continue learning remotely, regardless of their background.

Zach Randolph, affectionately known as “Z-Bo” and a cornerstone of the “Grit and Grind” Grizzlies era, also stepped up for the city. In April 2020, he donated $10,000 to help fund a mobile food pantry for Shelby County Schools. The initiative supplied 14-day food packages to families in need, offering consistent support during a time of economic uncertainty and school closures. Randolph’s gift helped ensure that hundreds of Memphis children didn’t go hungry while classrooms were empty.

These acts of generosity speak to the deep bonds both Conley and Randolph maintain with Memphis. While their days on the hardwood may be over, their legacy continues—now measured not just in wins and playoff runs, but in the lives they’ve touched off the court.

As Memphis rebuilds and grows, the efforts of its basketball icons serve as powerful reminders that true greatness lies not just in how you play the game, but in how you give back when it counts.
