April 25, 2025

A new high-octane documentary is set to hit Netflix later this year — and it’s led by none other than 16-time NHRA Funny Car champion John Force. Titled The Force Family, the film will dive deep into the world of drag racing through the eyes of one of its most iconic families.

Netflix officially announced the project this month, confirming that John Force and his daughter, Brittany Force, will be at the center of the story. Brittany, a Top Fuel champion in her own right, has helped carry on the Force family legacy with power, poise, and speed.

The documentary promises an intimate look into the lives of the Forces both on and off the track — from John’s storied rise through the ranks to Brittany’s barrier-breaking achievements. Featuring never-before-seen footage, personal interviews, and behind-the-scenes access to race weekends, The Force Family is being hailed as a raw and emotional tribute to family, resilience, and the thrill of the quarter-mile.

“For over four decades, John Force has defined what it means to be a drag racer,” said a Netflix spokesperson. “This series gives fans a chance to see the man behind the fire suit, and how his passion continues through his children.”

As Netflix continues to expand its lineup of motorsports content following hits like Drive to Survive, this documentary is expected to draw in a fresh wave of interest to the NHRA world. For longtime fans, it’s a long-overdue celebration of a legend who’s still chasing victory lights — and for newcomers, it’s the perfect introduction to drag racing royalty.

The Force Family is set to premiere globally on Netflix in late 2025.
